It is essential for any tree owner to always inspect the tree for safety purposes. If any of the trees on your property look anything other than firm and healthy, then you may need emergency tree services. The signs to look out for are:

  1. Damaged trees. If you notice that any of your trees is damaged by half or more, then you need emergency tree services. Such a tree can lose branches or fall at any time, especially in windy conditions. It can also break if pressure is applied on it by children playing. A tree specialist can be called to assess and determine if the tree will continue to decline.
  2. Decaying exposed roots. If you notice exposed roots, which are damaged or decaying, this might signify that the root structure holding the tree is already weak. Services from a tree expert should be sort to determine the structural strength of the intact roots.
  3. Hollow trunk. Trees with hollow points might survive for quite sometimes even though their structural integrity is severely compromised. They can give in at any time to any form of pressure such as weight from humans climbing or strong winds.
  4. Leaning trees. In case you notice a tree suddenly leaning, there is a high chance that its root structure is weak or the soil holding them together is loose. Such tree can be hazardous if any pressure from strong wind or humans is applied on it.
  5. Missing barks, large holes or cracks. These three signs indicate that the structure of the trunk is weak, they can easily fall in case pressure is applied on them
  6. Sprouting new growth and branches. This is another indication that the tree is weak, probably rooting from inside and should be attended to.

It is imperative that no one goes near trees exhibiting the above signs unless under instructions from a tree expert.

Thanks for the info about emergency tree services. A tree is likely to collapse on my home soon. I'll look for a tree service that can remove the tree.

I never knew that when there are large holes on our trees, it is best that we call a professional and have them removed as it could be a sign of termites or the tree is unwell. I noticed that one of my trees have a large hole in it. Maybe it would be a good idea to hire a professional tree removal service.
